Where Do We Draw the Line?
A Conversation on Free Speech
South Branch Library, 2210 Glasgow Ave.
2:30-4:00 PM
Topic: Where Do We Draw the Line?
Is the First Amendment absolute, or are there limits in a digital age? From social media moderation and library book access to the boundaries of public protest, "Reds" and "Blues" often disagree on what speech should be protected.
Join the Baton Rouge Braver Angels on Sunday, February 8, as we explore these tough questions together. We are honored to welcome Dr. Josh Grimm from the LSU Manship School, who will share his expertise on our Constitutional rights and lead us in a community-wide discussion.
Come ready to listen, share your perspective, and understand the "why" behind our differences.
Our group normally meets on the second Sunday of each month at the South Branch (Rouzan) of the EBR Public Library.
Meetings begin at 2:30 pm, and typically last around 90 minutes. Light refreshments, coffee and drinks are usually available.
